Hi all from a Spanish newbie!

First of all I must ask for permission to speak English. You can answer in Russian if you want, I think Google Translator will do just fine. And please forgive my poor English skills.

I've seen that gorgeous picture (http://speccy-live.untergrund.net/?p=1892), so this is my question: How can I load Multiartist (MultiGigaScreen) screens on an original machine (Sinclair/Amstrad)??. I mean, I've seen these files:

http://speccy-live.untergrund.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/animeeshon.zip

and would like to know how must I save the image with Multiartist, what is the necessary program I must append to the image and how to do it.

Long life to the cool Russian Spectrum scene and thanks in advance,

Marce

Marce, glad to hear that somebody in Spain use multiArtist!

You can download this viewer (http://zx.pk.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=17193&d=1271382237) for multigigascreen by pulsar/simbols. It should work both ways - for classic ZX Spectrum and Pentagon clone. You just need to replace *.mg2 screen in TAP/SCL.
Of course you must export your screen in MG2 file format first.

Note: TAP - for classic speccy, SCL - for Pentagon timing.

Enjoy! And we wanna see your multigigascreen works!

Thanks for the quick reply!

Of course, I'll send my humble images! You can see some of them in the format made by a Spanish guy called mcleod_ideafix (8x1 with the standard attributes in 14 columns without flicker) at http://j.mp/bTYULG . My brother made a simple graphic editor for this format written in Java: http://mesxes.es/colorator/index-i.html

If you don't mind I have a few questions about your program:

- How did you make the example image? Have you got a importer from pc format or did you draw it by hand?

- What are the img, $img and $scr formats that multiArtist can handle?

- Is there a Spectrum loader for .mg1/4/8?

Greetings,
Marce

An img format is made of two standard Speccy screens, quickly flickering one after another.
For example:
http://zx.maros.pri.ee/zxscreen/palette/pulsar/mode/flicker/type/gigascreen/id/2359/filename/oldscool.gsc

$img - this is, afaik, the same img file in Hobeta format (zx-files manager for PC)
$scr - this is, afaik, standard Speccy screen in Hobeta format
