New Multiplayer game for 2-4 human players.
C-O-L-O-U-R-S
To access the C-O-L-O-U-R-S game
press 6 on the title page until the name appears.
or
press ENTER on the title page, press 6 to select C-O-L-O-U-R-S then press ENTER to return to the title page.
Single Mode:
Players 1,2,3 and 4 fight to paint the allotted amount of tiles in the arena.
2 players only in Single Mode:
Best to use Players -1 and 2- then switch off the other players and you will need to paint a few more tiles to win the game.
Team mode:
Players 1 and 2 become team RED.
Players 3 and 4 become team MAGENTA.
Players can drop bombs on their team mates tiles (they will be the same colour)
A larger amount of tiles need to be painted to win the game, team mates can kill each other and slow them and the enemy with the Eggtimer power-up.
Collected items are not shared between team players, so be greedy!
2 players only in Team Mode:
Yes you can! Use players -1 and 3- or -1 and 4- keep the remaning players switched on and you will need to paint a lot more tiles to win the game.
Single / Team Mode switch:
To switch between Single and Team mode press ENTER on the title page, press 7 to access the extra options, then press 3 to change C-O-L-O-U-R-S Single / Team mode. Press ENTER twice to return to the title page.
Game play.
Each player carries bombs that detonate with deadly explosives and coloured paint.
Use these bombs to colour as many tiles in the arena to win the game.
If a player is killed then they are regenerated to their starting corner and stripped of all collected power-ups.
The player cannot move until they have fully regenerated, but they can be killed when regenerating!
All tiles remain painted.
Players can only drop a bomb on their own coloured tiles and unclaimed (white) tiles.
Players can walk onto the opponent's coloured tiles but they cannot drop bombs on those coloured tiles.
When a bomb is dropped, the tile that the bomb stands on becomes unclaimed until the bomb explodes and the paint splatters onto the surrounding tiles.
New paint will cover old paint, claiming those tiles for that player/team.
Once a crate/blastable wall has been destroyed it will not regenerate.
To PAUSE the game press G - you will have the option to quit the game to the title screen.
-Push Bomb power-up-
Bombs will slide only on the tiles that the player has coloured and unclaimed tiles.
The bomb will stop when it hits another coloured tile, walls, bombs, power-ups and other players.
During the journey of the bomb, all tiles are wiped clean and become unclaimed.
-Computer controlled/dropped Bombs-
Any primed bombs that are found in crates/blastblocks that detonate, with explosion will wiping out any claimed painted tiles.
-Time Limit-
Time limit to win the game has been removed, so the game will play until one player/team wins by painting the allotted amount of tiles.
-Winning the Game-
Painted tiles are counted during the game. If any player/team matches or exceeds the required amount then they win!
Only fully painted tiles count. Tiles with explosions do not count, even if they are covering previous tiles that are the same colour - evil, but that is life!
The game will instantly stop to display the winner!
The Player number with WINS will be painted in the winning player/team colour.
Team will have a painted block and WINS coloured in the winning team colour.
The game will then return back to the Bomb Munchies title screen - have another go.
Bugs: Hopefully there shouldn't be any more bugs (yeah, right!) but if you do see something strange happening or think that there is some weird graphical errors then please let me know.

There is now a new option to play the levels in either the set order or a random order.
Death in random mode will probably give another random level to play - this means you can sacrifice a life if you get the nasty bomb maze level.

Tryantulas - Bug Fix
Random Level Mode - the randomizer would sometimes pick the introduction story cavern screen (the story screen) when playing the game. This has now been fixed, the AND 7 command I used has been kicked around a bit, so have I for using it.
Tryantulas - the Trophy
Tryantula can now pickup and instantly re-hide the Trophy within the cavern. Killing the Tryantula that picked up the trophy will not make it drop the Trophy.
The Trophy will be hidden as a prize in the blastable blocks. If there are no more blastable blocks within the cavern then it is lost for that level - unless a life is lost.
It makes the game a little harder as the Trophy must be quickly collected.
Tryantulas - Maze Levels
I have added Extra Life/Fire Shield bonus to the Maze level - this might make it a bit easier on the return journey to the exit.
Some of the Maze levels have been slightly redesigned to make use of the bonus pickups.
Added a few more mazes to give a better variety - at only 36 bytes per level... yeah, have a few more.
C-O-L-O-U-R-S - Bug Fix
After much testing and a few heated arguments, I delved into the score system again as it would sometimes pick the wrong person as the winner.
It now works better, is fair to all the players and is very accurate!
C-O-L-O-U-R-S
Added the player colour to the corner of the game arena, just to make it clearer who owns that area.
Added a score system to display the current amount of coloured tiles for each player/team in the corners of the screen.
Added at the bottom of the screen the required amount of tiles to colour to win the game - your score needs be higher to win the game. Remember that if the tile count is tied then the game will continue until it is won by one player.

Tryantulas
Fixed a bug that would show the nastys regenerating upon the start of a new level if they
were still frazzling from the previous level. This was spotted a day after the last release
and quickly squashed with one line of code.
Maze level, this has been expanded again with 2 more mazes that have big bomb explosions and wider corridors. It looks easier to win, but those explosions can go around corners.Watch, look and learn before running around these new mazes.
A little bit of code rewriting makes it 34 bytes per maze.
Danger! UXB
The minefields of Munchania (yeah, stop laughing at the back) has a small plotline:
Collect the Jewels of Life to win the game.
Navigate the minefields, collect the key and a Jewel will appear.
The game is a lot harder now as a new route will will need to be found to collect the jewel.
Collect an amount of food items then a key and jewel will appear, collect and exit.
Repeat the levels until the game is won.
