Hello everyone,
you may know me as Factor6. My name is Alan and I'm new to this forum. I'm from the Czech Republic, living in Prague the moment. I'm 39 years old. I'd like to observe news around ZX Specrum here as I'm writing articles for German SUC-Magazine and an international Spectrum Today magazine. I also would like to discuss about ZX-EVO and ReVerSE-U16 board as I own them.
I started with computers in 1985 on the Timex Computer 2048, a 48K Spectrum clone imported from Poland. In 1992 I switched to the C64 and then Amiga 500, but I returned to the Speccy after a short time. I owned some Slovak Didaktik clones and now I have these Spectrum computers at home:
- ZX Spectrum 48K
- ZX Spectrum +
- ZX Spectrum 128K
- ZX Spectrum 128K +2
- ZX Spectrum 128K +2A
- Timex Computer 2048 (not the former one)
- Delta (not original board inside, but Harlequin)
- Didaktik Kompakt 48K
- Didaktik Gama (black case, but not working)
- ZX-Evo 4096 rev.B (2009)
- ReVerSE-U16
and I have some more non Spectrum computers like ZX81, ZX80-clone, PMD-85, Commodore 64/16/VIC20/Plus4, Atari XE, ST, Amstrad CPC, some Amigas.
I usually do tracker music for the demoscene, started on Amiga 500(!) and then switched to the Spectrum I'm also active on the C64 scene, CPC and Atari.
I'm in the AY-Riders music band with Yerzmyey. In the past, I'd been visiting Yerzmyey quite often, but now, when I must pay my own flat, I can't afford to travel much. With Yerzmyey, we also formed an Atari ST band called YM-Digital (http://ym-digital.i-demo.pl/) focusing on playing digital samples music on YM2149 chip. Unfortunately we don't have much chances to perform together as Yerzmyey is from different country (Poland). I also draw graphics sometimes and I consider myself as a very bad and lame coder
Except Czech, Slovak, Polish and a very little German I speak English, so please, send your answers in English if you wish I understood best. Google translator is sometimes very stupid in translating from Russian. I can read Russian slowly, don't understand every word and it takes a lot of time for me.
This year (2016), I'm participating on organisation of the Forever party in Slovakia. I also attend on local Spectrum, C64, Atari and retro-computer meetings in the Czech Republic. Sometimes (depends if I have money for that), I'm attending Revision party in Germany with my Amiga group ArtWaY. On the Spectrum, I'm currently in Gemba Boys group and on the C64 in many groups. I'm in no demogroup on Atari and CPC.
