Hello everyone!

I am updating an emulator and I was wondering about the status of all those Russian Spectrums like the new Pentagons, Profi, ATM, Kay, etc...

Are these still being made and the companies still running them or is it safe to emulate and include their ROMs without worrying? For example, I see UnrealSpeccy doesn't include xbios.

Thanks in advance.

Don't worry! Russian custom ROM's are not copyrighted materials. All of them (unofficially) are under public domain

Free to use without fear? OK, thanks. :)

doorsfan: Yes, x128 rises (slowly) again! The very old codebase is taking a long time to update, but my work in progress version is running under windows and emulating a lot more than it used to (but so much still to add!)

I heard that Kremlin's defense supercomputer runs on a cluster of four Kay-1024 computers, so if you start poking your nose around it expect a visit from friendly KGB agent with poisoned tip umbrella.

Pentagons, Profi and ATMs are safe though.

X128 has gone into an "open alpha" phase, so it is very incomplete but open for anyone to test! :v2_smoke:
