Correct!
Pass near the candles to light them up. If all are lightning, you will go to next level.
When the screen flashes, the ghosts appear and they can blow all near candles off. If your candle is blown out, you can reignite it by passing a lightning candle.
Your candle get weaker with time, resulting in less and less light.
Staying ca. 10 second without light means that a monster will catch your feet and draw you into the ethernal darkness.
This is just a preview version because I have not done all levels ant intro yet.

Переключайся на карту почаще. И смотри, когда молния будет, где приведения находятся, заодно и все ходы помещения увидишь. А идея игры действительно отличная.

The full version is supposed to have 24-32 levels (depends on how good I can compress them), and a nice intro where the story is told about Yumiko, her family, what she is supposed to do. This will add even more atmosphere.
If I can optimise the code further, I probably can add one or two features.
I want to keep the game running on 48K and not switch to 128K.
I want to release the full game for free as TZX, TAP and MGT, probably also as TRD.
There will be also a collectors edition on Tape for sale too...
NovaStorm: That is on purpose as the map is the most important thing in the game. This makes you really feel like a lone little kid in a unknown enviroment in the darkness, with only a weak light of a candle :).

I wanted to do this, but then it was unplayable on larger and more complex maps because you do not know where the ghosts blowed off the candles, especialy on "Madness" level where 8 ghosts appear at once. I ended up searching blown off candles in dead corners where they were perfectly lightning, running out of time. So if, then only as option for totaly hardcore masochistic players.
128K version of this game is not planed, but the follow up to this game may be 128K only: "Yumiko in the realm of Slenderman". The reason is simple: My BorIDE does not have 128K memory management yet.

Это всего лишь предварительная версия, потому что я не сделал всех уровней, интро еще нет.
Полная версия будет иметь 24-32 уровней (в зависимости от того, как хорошо я могу сжать их), и хорошее интро, где рассказывается о Юмико, ее семье, что она должна делать. Это добавит еще больше атмосферы.
Понравилась. И идея, и оформление, и музыка!

Its not only the levels, but also there will be a nice intro. I cannot tell you the exact release date, but I'm ahead of my plan. The game was originally targeted for 2013. I think, it will be finished in December 2012.

I wanted to improve the game presentation after some of my earlier works ("Chessboard attack", "Quest for Witchcraft", "Earthraid"), and I put much efforts in coding this, so reading at WOS and here that people like the atmosphere and the idea, is simply great feeling.

Somtimes Google translation is simply stupid, but also professional translating companies are not much better.
I got a translation for a company for which I was working, from german "Wir bauen Bruecken" ("We building bridges") to polish "My burzymy mosty" ("We demolish bridges"). That would be not good for advertising the company... And this for a unspeakable amount of money!

In the final version you will be able to select "extreme" mode with limit to only 5 peeks on the map.
Also now the pause between steps is smaller, I did a redefine keys selection, Kempston joystick and burning candle animation.
Also some little tweaks and compressions. Still 16 levels left to design, but the game grows up more and more.
Finished!!! Download the Standard Edition from my webpage. The archive contains TAP, TZX (with counter-Custom loader), MGT and TRD versions. This was a fight for every free byte, only 274 bytes free left!!! The Collectors Edition will follow later on Tape or as digital download. Must order some C-15 tapes for it, and finish the intro. Instruction follows later. I'm tired now!

My father died at the age of 69 years (Thats not a age) due to broken aorta, and organ malfunction after the shock. Doctors were fighting three days for his life.
We knew since four years that he had problems with his aorta and he can die anytime, but we were hoping for 6-11 more years with him. I even moved back to our parents flat to spend his last years together...
