Blackjet presents for the 128K Spectrum:
========================================
Spiker: Basic Training
======================

You are Cadet Dave "Spec" Spiker, the worst pilot to try out for the intergalactic
fighter corps this century. After consistently flunking your flight training the
top brass have given you an ultimatum: To pass the hair raising nerve twitching
asteroid field of death, or flunk out for good and probably die in the process.

So suit up, fuel up, zip up, scarf up, goggle up, take a deep breath, blast
off and try not to kill yourself! If you manage to get past this test you'll be
sent out to the front line of some as-yet unwritten plot-lacking full priced sequel
to this: your "Basic Training."

Instructions: Shoot the asteroids, pickup the pickups, kill the firing ships and try
to pass your basic training.

The pickups will give you:

1. Blue = fast bullets
2. Red = faster reload (up to 5 steps faster)
3. Magenta = more bullets (up to 4 at once)

Keys are user definable at start up: Up, down, left, right and shoot.

Spiker graphic is used with permision from Jason 'Joefish' Railton, available from
https://sites.google.com/site/zxgraph/home/joefish and was inspired "The Lone Magpie's"
ZX Spectrum (Spaceship) Mascot thread at World of Spectrum:

The 47Loader turbo version is subject to the 47Loader license detailed in the
accompanying 47Loader.txt file. That loader is marvellous (in my opinion).

These words written by Andrew Gillen, the game largely written by him and the two extra
spiker frames drawn by him. Jaco Van Der Walt is responsible for all other graphics,
so any lawsuits please direct that way ;)

Yerzmyey provided the fantastic music, check out http://yerzmyey.i-demo.pl/ for more
from him. My only wish is to code a game that could do his music justice.

Other freely available bits and bobs used included the XOR Shift Random generator
from Patrik Rak, the ZX7 compressor/decompressor from Einar Saukas (who also masterminded
the collaborative portal at ZXGraph website) from
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0027996
and the AY Effects engine written by Shiru from http://shiru.untergrund.net/software.shtml

I think that covers it all but if I've missed anything, sorry!
