Now more information about the changes:

The built-in map can be displayed with Caps Shift key and also with the extended Kempston joystick support (in addition to the fire button, 3 extra buttons were added). There is no separate pause so you may use map for it.
There are 2 ways to exit from the map mode - press "1" key or fire to return the game or press "2" key to abort the game and return to the screensaver.
The game control was improved, you may select the left or right sinclair joystick, cursor joystick with pressing space or enter.
You can clearly see the damage of your aircraft now with the flickering border. You can also more clearly figure out the degree of device damage. In addition to the pulse, a strength level indicator appeared on the dashboard.
Seeker (weapon, straight after the missiles, the icon looks like a beetle) no longer rushes between opponents wasting energy for nothing, but purposefully attacks the nearest one.
The sound effects that were slow down the game sound shorter now while solving the turret puzzle. The arrow moves when the direction is pressed, not when released. The space is now looped, and when you press left key, standing on the left pyramid, you jump to the right pyramid.
Added support for extended Kempston. Additional buttons:
Fire2 - Quick missile fire
Fire3 - Quick shield activation
Fire4 - Pause/Map
Also some other small bugs were fixed, e.g. the music in the main menu could slow down, also all the opponents disappeared somewhere after exiting from the puzzle.

From the information about the original game:

TASK FORCE
==========

Mercenaries led by the evil Snide Gantree have over-run our top-secret South Pacific Air-Force base.

In less than four hours, Snide will be in control of the bases awesome cruise-missile arsenal. Earths only hope is THE TASK FORCE a state-of-the-art jetfighter bristling with destructive firepower missiles, heat seekers, mines, orbitals and bouncing bombs.

Once the game has loaded you will be presented with a title page. From this menu you may elect the control method device of your choice: Joystick or Keyboard.

You start the game just outside the fortress, you must explore the base, searching for the missile activation icons, once one of these has been located you will be presented with a subgame: You must transfer all the coloured discs from one area to another, within the time limit, however you can not place a larger disc over a small one.

You may also come across extra weapon payloads, shields and energy packs, these may be used to your advantage. Part of the complex is hidden behind, a camouflaged blast wall. At the fortress lowest point, you should use a powerful weapon on the East wall.
