Hey there, sorry to revive this old thread, can anyone translate the required changes to Pentagon 48? Otherwise a schematic for the GRM1 might help me as well.
Shockwav3, try this way:

2. Position of the INT signal:
Vertically 16 lines back - everything is like in Inferno-9 - we unsolder one leg of the C3 capacitor from 8 pin of DD6.3 (LI3) and connect the same signal to C3 passed through the inverter.
Horizontally I propose to make another:
We cut off the track from the 14 pin of the DD9 (IE5), on the 14 pin of the DD9 we give a signal from the additional chip 1533TM2, which we connect as follows:
At the inputs of R and S (pins 1 and 4) connect to + 5V
At input C (3 pin), we give a signal from 3 pin DD3 (IE7)
To the input D (2 pin) we give a signal from 8 pin DD14.3 (LP5).
Direct output TM2 (5 pin) is connected to the 14 pin DD9.[
Try this way, but I think some fixes are necessary. The schematic diagram of the Pentagon 48 is very different in this part from the Pentagon-1024 or the GRM1.
Hi Solegstar,
just gave it a try, sadly no change, except for the image being unstable when a lot of white is shown. No offset horizontally.
Vertically I already changed the circuit as you wrote, that works nicely and already fixes a lot of multicolor effects.
Maybe this is a better starting point? http://sblive.narod.ru/ZX-Spectrum/L...k/LEN2PENT.zip
Shockwav3, roll back all changes for horizontally. Try connect an extra diode. The anode to C8 signal, and the cathode to pin 9 of D14.3.
No improvement, horizontal position remains the same, but I get a part of the FLASH attribute in the border as ghosting at the top/bottom.
Disconnecting VD1 I get an image that's massively shifted to the right.
What I realized when experimenting earlier, if I feed a different C divider into Pin11 of DD19.2 I can get the border shifted, but at the same time I get a "rolling window" effect ... meaning if I move the window to the left (lower C-value) the characters "cut off" from the right edge get added back on the left.
Shockwav3, Can you temporarily disconnect the capacitor C2? Also show a photo of the screen.
Perhaps, for faster testing you will be helped by the ROM-version of the last part demo RAGE.
Thanks a lot for linking the ROM version - that makes things a lot more pleasant to work with for me!
(Blurry) Screenshot as you asked (sadly my smartphone really sucks with moving screen images):

I'll try unsoldering C2 next
EDIT: C2 removed

Any chance this could be the reason? Seems like the P128 enables muxing based on BLANK, while the P48 enables muxing based on BORDER
EDIT: Seems like generation of the BLANK signal is realized largely different and also utilized differently ... damn
EDIT2: I think I've found the culprit! !WRFE is generated slightly differently, inverting it also gives me a slight improvement (Border and Paper are just a few pixels off instead of a full character). I'll try restoring it to the way the P128 does it and report again.
EDIT3: Restoring the way !WR_FE is generated on the P128 improved things considerably, even tho I think simply inverting the signal generated on board gave me the same result.
Left is before, right is after

Can anyone link me the "Border Test for Lisica" by VNN? Or another static demo that draws into the border ... that way I can properly check whether the border or the paper is misaligned.
