Hi there,
I'm currently in the progress of building a Pentagon 128 (Revision 2011 produced by zorel). Good things first, it already boots, accepts keyboard input and even lists betadisk directories. Now comes the bad part, after a few seconds I get junk characters on the screen, but the machine remains operational for a few more seconds til it crashes (mostly after 30-45 seconds). Sometimes it reboots, but most of the time it just hangs requiring a hard reset. Any ideas what could be wrong?
Further info:
- IC type is all 74lsxxx except for dd02, dd11 & dd12 (used 74hct93 there). I used the translation table from here: http://sblive.narod.ru/ZX-Spectrum/P...ntagon128k.htm (except for dd100 which is wrong there and should be cd4069).
- RAM chips are 41256 and have decoupling capacitors
- random decoupling capacitors have been placed on the board
- resistor and capacitor values have been used according to pentagon.pdf from here http://zxspectrum.it.omegahg.com/doc/Pentagon.pdf
- bugs regarding R50 (56k), DD31 and DD47 & DD49 have been fixed

Photo looked, yesterday did not think to look. To see whether the memory chip decoupling capacitors? On the other circuits as well (as in the photo above).
Shockwav3, чипы 41256, к каждой из этих микросхем на первую ногу нужно подключить GND, иначе будет работать нестабильно. 565ру5 аналог 4164. Ну и проверить микросхемы ОЗУ, каким нибудь тестом ОЗУ, например вот этим http://www.zx.pk.ru/showpost.php?p=298913&postcount=135.

zorel, привет, у меня, кстати, аналогичная проблема с Пентагоном. Я пытался это победить, но у меня ничего не вышло. Суть такая, что в BASIC 48К все работает идеально, TR-DOS тоже без проблем. Но в режиме 128К - зависает меньше, чем через минуту. Спрашивал в соседней ветке - никто не знает. Тест работает без проблем. Пришел к выводу, что глюки именно с ОЗУ, причем не с конкретными микросхемами, т.к. у меня их около сотни, да и в Орионе они работают без проблем, а с моделью (такая же 41256). Короче, хочу найти РУ7 и попробовать установить, только нет времени сейчас этим заниматься, работа достала :)Цитата:

P.S. Первые ножки с землей соединил :) Я, пытаясь настроить, эти ножки и к +5 подключал - никаких изменений. А потом этот проводок отнял и забыл припаять обратно на землю, так Пентагон вообще не заводился.
Shockwav3, zorel says that 1st pins of 41256 must be connected to ground because IC 41256 corresponds to КР565РУ7 and pin 1 is address input. And he is absolutely right, КР565РУ5 is analogical to 4164. But I have exactly the same problem and don't know how to solve it (I've connected 1st pins to GND). My Pentagon works properly in 48K Basic, but crashes in 30-40 seconds after restart in 128K mode like yours (also with junk on the screen). I've asked allready about this issue, but nobody know how to fix it. Now I want to install ICs soviet КР565РУ7 instead of 41256. I don't have any more ideas.
andy150677, плата по альбому собиралась? диод VD2, правильно запаян?
Да, собирал по альбому Гущина, диоды вообще всегда прозваниваю перед запайкой.Цитата:

Я правильно понял, клавиатура работает, только в бейсик 128 не попадает? Проверил, в шаблоне диод на шелкографии исправлен, в альбоме ошибка, он не правильно нарисован, на форуме уже не помню где, у кого-то была похожая проблема из-за этого диода..Цитата:
