Added:
—Dropping bombs from higher up scores more points. (Granting @hikoki his wish.)
—Prop blade “rotation” (well, shimmer, actually) added. Doesn’t look too great under most emulators (when they sync the Speccy’s video to the display’s vertical refresh rate; i.e. 50 Hz vs 60 Hz). Works okay-ish in Retro Virtual Machine, as it offers “interlaced blending.” I’d love to hear some feedback on what it looks like on real hardware.
Improvements:
—Airplane graphics are all pre-shifted now. The routines execute much faster and the plane flying right to left no longer flickers when the copter is moving at the same time.
Fixes:
—A couple of instances of a “runaway stack” (CALLS without RETs) have been eliminated
—Fixed an extremely intermittent bug that sometimes affected the base sprite as it moved off the left edge of the screen.
—Fixed memory corruption caused by the IM 2 mode (the F register wasn’t being saved).
