BB-Soft and Chance Soft - some Slovak guy(s), dunno who. They greet many famous sceners in their Super Mega Demo including Mata and Qjeta (MQM Series) and have Qjeta's song Phenomena in the intro.

Hangyaboys: 'Garfield Demo' is "directed by Ferenc Dezsenyi" and appears to be very much Hungarian.

@Gasman: yes, Donat's text is very Polish and Ferenc Dezsenyi is Hungarian name, although some Slovaks have also Hungarian names. But this demo seems to be Hungarian because of the nick 'Hangyaboys' - The 'gy' in the middle is Hungarian thing, pronounced somehow like Czech and Slovak Ď (soft D) ... ok, end of language lesson ;-D

...but I also have a feeling that there are at least two other "SSC"s, one of which is Shumice Software Company (I don't think we have any problem tracking them down :-) ) and the other of which had no identifiable contact info at all. I need to do a bit more digging here...

Zoetway Music: Peter Zoeteweij. From the name, I'd assume he's from the Netherlands. The programs mention being distributed through "VIS Telesoftware Service" - does anyone recognise that as the name of a BBS, perhaps?

3SA: you mean ESA. I think Factor6 will be able to give you plenty of information about this one :-)

Johny-X: I think he's Czech, but I really ought to know for sure seeing as I've met him about 10 times now :-) (But he is on Pouet, so you could ask him...)

Madhouse: group from Slovakia, I guess. (the previously-mentioned TSS was a member)

Cassiopeia: from Slovakia I think. Main coder/gfxer/musician was a guy called Denis - swapped emails with him back in 2000, which I might even still have in a backup of a backup of a backup...

Your Sinclair: you must have heard of YS, right? It was the biggest Spectrum magazine in the UK (and the world, I think) :-) Toxic Elephant wasn't by Your Sinclair, but it was released on a Your Sinclair covertape with a great big YS logo in it, which is where the confusion comes from. The demo was by Total Eclipse, a British group consisting of Kronus = Steve Anderson from Gloucester, UK, and, er, some other guy. (oh, and in fact Steve Anderson did become a writer for Your Sinclair later on, but this is confusing enough already, so I'll shut up now)

Dack / Zero: Members of Coolguys Limited (CGL), from Birmingham, UK. Still on the internet...

Proudly: Uhm, you're looking at something saying "proudly presents", right? :-) Crimes Of Bill Gilbert was by "Double 27" - sorry, don't have any details about them, but as it's a fucktro they were probably deliberately keeping themselves anonymous...

"The Real Deal" demo has a quiz section which - if you play it enough - reveals a whole lot of info about them, including that they live in Bewdley, and that they hate Margaret Thatcher and the Queen. ;-) I got a nice email from Dack a few years ago detailing what they'd been up to since then, and they've been based in the UK all this time. (And I really need to get back in touch to see if he's still got his old tapes, including the FIRST SPECTRUM DEMO EVVAR.)

No idea where Jupiter77 got Norway from - all I can think is that Alfa Soft / The President from Norway was making similar pop-music-sample-based demos around the same time, and they got the two authors confused.
