Memory paging (ZX clone type) is selectable via OUT 495,x or in menu. Position of logical ram pages 0-63(1MB ram) are same in all ZX modes. :v2_wink2:

I know only TR-DOS with ramdisc for KAY 1MB memory. :v2_frown:

Only some games use scorpion 256kB memory. And CP/M support scorpion allram mode. Other clones are without good software support.
Yes, the smaller variety - so it better! :) So KAY and Scorpion are united in the standard SKAY-1Mb. Pentagon-1Mb and SKAY-1Mb merged into standards SKAY-4Mb and the Pentagon-4Mb, which are actually a single standard system memory management.Цитата:

ZX clones based on paging via D6,D7 on port #7FFD are problematic wit some software:

For play original software for ZX128 must be PENTEVO/SCORPEVO switch to 128kB mode (must ignore paging bits D6,D7,D5 on port 7FFD and disable access to port #1FFD).
Ideal paging for extra memory use ZX PROFI for example. Port #7FFD use paging bits D0-D2 as original ZX128 and additional port #DFFD with next paging bits at D0-D2. Only software support for PROFI memory is not so good as for Pentagons. :v2_frown:
Port #EFF7 on Pentevo can active allram mode (ram page 0 instead rom). Port #1FFD on Scorpevo also active allram. Scorpevo combine both ports for allram activation ? :v2_conf2:
What about active turbo 7MHz on port #EFF7 and via read ports #7FFD and #1FFD ? Both ports is used in SCORPEVO ? If SCORPEVO is switched to 128kB mode (on port #EFF7) then turbo activation via read port #7FFD is always enabled ?
No, ScorpEvo don't have eff7 port. AllRAM mode activated with bit 0 of 1ffd port (as original Scorpion).Цитата:
