дисковод на c64 действительно используется для расчетов при программировании. обусловлено это прежде всего тем, что в него встроен процессор MOS6502 очень схожий с процессором в самом c64 - MOS6510.

естественно, нужно быть умелым кодером, чтобы использовать эти возможности. простым смертным это недоступно.

Vanja as you can recognize by my nick i don't believe to people by words. Of coz i know about CPU inside 1541 (coz i own 2 C64 and 1 C128DCR) but all i want to see right now is some proof. Can you help all of us - please feed us a links to articles about 1541 usage as additional CPU or exact cases (demo examples) where this power was used?

It would be a great help from you to clean up our discussion here in Sundown-C64-ZX-flame-tread!

I know that you are mostly gfx maker but you is only our releation to C64 scene (i have chat alot with pplz from #c-64 back in 1999-2001 but this question was not a matter back then)
